On 08.10.-09.10.2021, 2021 in Edirne, Turkey was held a conference on topic “Women in NGOs, Entrepreneurship and Politics”. The initiative was hosted by the Thracian University in Edirne, Turkey. The organizers of the event where the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey in Sofia H.E. Mrs. Aylin Sekizkok and Prof. Dr. Erhan Tabakoglu – Rector of the University, it was attended by representatives of NGOs, MPs, mayors and members of the public.
The topic of woman in the NGO sector, economy and politics was discussed at the forum. Ms. Birshen Ibryamova, Executive Director of the Liberal Integration Foundation, took part in the panel “Women and Entrepreneurship”. Ms. Ibryamova presented the activities of the Foundation and appealed for joint activities in the fight for gender equality. She focused on the importance of equalizing wages between women and men, strengthening the active role of the state in supporting working mothers and the role of education in the fight for more women to enter politics and business.
